MOUNT EERIE represents the latest evolution of Phil Elverum’s musical vision. Formerly known as The Microphones, Phil changed his project’s name to Mount Eerie while maintaining his subtle, lo-fi, and lyrically dense fuzz-folk aesthetic. LISTEN

Songwriter and multi-instrumentalist TARA JANE O'NEIL creates melodic and experimental music under her own name and in collaboration with other artists, bands, and filmmakers. Her work innately crosses genres and boundaries—drawings that morph from natural forms to linear abstractions, melodic songcraft melded with experimental noise; live performances that range from solo construction to large ensemble improvisation; and dance, film and theater scores-each telling the story in a dialect all their own. Though they spring from the same source, each piece takes a distinct form—several genies emerging from a single lamp. LISTEN

STRAYLIGHT RUN is the project of ex-Taking Back Sunday members John Nolan and Shaun Cooper. The band formed in May 2003 shortly after John and Shaun left Taking Back Sunday due to personal differences with lead singer Adam Lazzara. John and Shaun had been writing songs while still in the old band that they felt didn’t fit in with Taking Back Sunday’s style, and the freedom of starting a new band gave them a chance to experiment with this new sound. The band is based in Baldwin, New York, United States, the hometown of most of the members. The band’s name is taken from a chapter of William Gibson’s novel “Neuromancer.” LISTEN

The band's debut studio album, Reach for the Sun, was released on May 5, 2009, and reached #42 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart. LISTEN

MOVING MOUNTAINS - "When the band dip into their most experimental, dynamic and emotional elements, a comparison could be made to any punk-turned-epic-brooder of the last five years (Brand New, Thrice) and the band's extolled peers (This Will Destroy you, Chin Up Chin Up)- an interesting place to be, for sure. Pneuma is an incredibly promising debut." - Alternative Press LISTEN

WRENCH IN THE WORKS - Taking the innovation of a "contempo-noise" alternative genre and joining it with the fundamental excellence of bands like Converge, Deadguy and Zao, Wrench In The Works has honed a style of progressive music that is genuinely unique and savagely majestic. A sound which is brutally aggressive joins with well-written metal-influenced-hardcore to show its unabashed rebellion against the genre's restricting conventions. As experimental metal begins to flow with the mainstream, Wrench In The Works desists from the gimmicks that plague the stage during so many metal-hardcore hybrid shows, allowing the unconventionality of their writing to shine through. Wrench In The Works' accomplishments have exceeded the status quo of the average underground band. The release of their 2005 full-length, "Prodigal Transmission," took the band on their first self promoted national tour as well as an eastern Canadian tour and countless weekend shows, continuously teaming up with a broad range of bands. With seemingly limitless ingenuity and passion, members Andy Nelson, Justin Mehl and Darrell Tauro will continue shattering eardrums as well as genre barriers as they write and record for their debut Facedown release.
